As the season winds down, the Peters Township girls basketball team looks to win their first WPIAL championship since the 2018-2019 season. The team has faced a lot of adversity this season but still ended up finishing with an overall record of 21-3. Last season the team made it to the semi-final game at Mount Lebanon but lost in a close game against North Allegheny. For their semi final game this year it will be another matchup at Mount Lebanon but against Tomas Jefferson. In the regular season Peters has faced up against Tomas Jefferson twice and beat them 52-39 the first time and 58-49 the second game. They look to get a redemption win at Mount Lebanon to send them to the WPIAL championship at Peterson Event Center against the winner of South fayette and Mars.
