The Peters Township baseball team is on a mission this season. After just falling short of the playoffs last season, losing to Connellsville in a playoff qualifying matchup, the Indians return with a clear focus on returning to the postseason. Returning five starters, the Indians have the experience it takes to go deep in the playoffs.
The Indians play twelve away games this season, nearly double the amount of “home” games. This is due to the fact that the Indians home field is under construction, a complete remodel of the storied field. This moves the Indians home games to Washington and Jefferson’s Memorial stadium, nearly thirty minutes away from their true home field. The Indians know this puts them at a disadvantage, but they’re not worried.
Seniors Zach Miner, Jackson Stocker, Matthew Scouvart, and Michael Alspaugh, all featured on the schedule all know the importance of winning. With a revamped section featuring new faces such as Moon and Chartiers Valley, and returning foes Bethel Park and South Fayette, an exciting season is in store for the Indians. Cheer on your Peters Township Baseball team all spring long as they look to add another WPIAL Championship trophy to their collection.
