Members of the PTHS Female Empowerment Club attended the Power of Her summit hosted by Range Resources and Dress to Success Pittsburgh on October 2. The girls who attended listened to meaningful stories and advice provided by a variety of strong and influential women in the workforce. They additionally participated in interactive activities presented by several companies to prepare themselves for their futures as independent women.

Cat Olson is a senior at Peters Township and a level III Journalism student and editor. In addition to Journalism, Cat has also taken Photography and is currently involved in Yearbook, where she is a senior life editor. Cat's favorite part of Journalism is writing articles for the news magazine and filming videos for PTHS Showcase.
Outside of the media department, Cat enjoys swimming, reading, and being an officer for the Female Empowerment Club.
